Have you ever thought of using guitar pegs on an oud?

I was wondering, is it possible to just use guitar pegs on my oud? In theory, I would avoid so many problems, like the pegs slipping, for instance! What do you think, is it possible?

Uhm.. actually, using guitar pegs is actually worse than using regular wooden pegs, because they are less stable and less sturdy. Also, they require extra turning for the string, which is quite inconvenient.

Yes, itís completely possible but I will strictly suggest you never to do it. I believe that doing this will make it worst as Lilyana already mention it, so better not to use guitar pegs on Oud, but then itís your personal decision and I am just giving my view.
