How do you know the highest tension?

What do you consider the highest tension a good Bashir Oud could support? Are there any tips anyone can share regarding this matter?

Well, it kind of depends on the type of oud you have.
From what I know, the recommended tuning for a Bashir oud is: CFAdgc'f' (I might be wrong though... not an expert!)

Brick, you are not wrong.
Tuning an oud can be done is many ways, but for this particular type, your suggestions is a good one :)

I suggest you try out what Brick told you, but you could also try out the standard Iraqi tuning F CC DD GG CC FF, or even the C GG AA DD GG CC and experiment with it, see how you personally like it.
