How to add a percussive effect to my oud?
« on: March 19, 2015, 03:48:06 AM »
I have a question, it's regarding my oud: what's the proper technique to use a percussive effect on my instrument? If anyone can explain a good technique or refer me to some tutorials, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks :)

Doing my best, so that I can't blame myself for anything.

Are you trying it in acoustic?
Take right hand onto soundboard and tap it.
You will hear percussive sound then.
Or play it with fingers especially thumb like slapping Bass.

Hi proms. The way to add this specific effect to an oud is the way Contrazor described it. Or are you talking about something else?
