Need lessons for a darbuka!

Hello! I recently bought a Meinl HE-315 aluminium jingle darbuka. I have looked everywhere but I can't seem to find any totorials for those, only for doumbeks. Can anyone help please?

Have you tried searching for darbuka lessons on YouTube? There are many videos you can watch and learn the basic techniques!

Oh, what a beauty! You got yourself quite a good instrument, fitz!

If you're a beginner, you could easily find lessons on yourtube. However, if you're looking for something more advanced (which you might anyway, sooner or later), have a look here: http://www.arabinstruments.com/gold-package-darbuka-doumbek-lessons, they offer a pretty good deal.

Thank you guys for the answers. I tried to look on youtube for some tutorials but they are for doumbek and it seems it's a bit different from the darabuka. I learned some basics from youtube + on my own and I will consider buying the Gold Package and the Darbuka Dance light device :D (it looks really interesting).

Most people already have answer what I would have suggest, as it’s obvious that YouTube is the best station to learn since there are some really wonderful tutorials not just for Doumbek but even for Darbuka, I will try to search it for you, but there are many available.

Hi,
here is some sample, how to play your darbuka:



So doum, tek and slap it's same as the doumbek-style.
The ka is played with snaps. Here is a good instruction to learn this technique:
