Adjust the darbuka skin after first Installation
« on: January 01, 2015, 08:05:41 AM »
Hey  ;D
So after you have installed the skin and the skin is in the same high of the darbuka metal ring, most of the changes are that the sound will be choked and closed.
In this case what you will need to do is to open the pegs a little around the darbuka, then Put the darbuka on the ground and lean on the center of the skin with your knee. Don't put to much pressure because you don't want to torn the skin. Do it several times also around the skin and around the center of the skin. You will start to get the best sound!!
If you have more tips please share it with us.

I just want to say thatís a beautiful drum.  Thatís just a work of art.  I donít know if I could play such a thing.  I would be too busy looking at it and enjoying its beauty.
