Tips/Advice for jumping on a horse?

We are not there personally to know what is going on and how to give you tips be a better rider. This something better answered by your trainer. You could also ask for advice and opinions from people at your barn.
A couple of tips. Try around the world. Have someone or your trainer hold your horse while you sit on your horse bareback. Keep your arms out at shoulder height. Then move your left leg and move to sitting with both feet hanging off your horse's right side. Then swing/move your right leg over your horses rump and sit backwards on your horse. Then move your left leg over your horse's rump and sit with both feet dangling off your horse's left side. Then move your right leg over your your horse's neck and back into home position. Continue clock wise about ten times. Then go counter clock wise. Swing/move your right leg over the horses neck and sit with both feet dangling off the horse's right side. Continue to move in that direction.
This helps with balance and trust with your horse.
