How Ceramic Doumbek is made?
« on: May 13, 2015, 04:34:34 AM »
I have often heard Ceramic Doumbek been referred to as the original Drum, but all I am interested in knowing is how is it exactly made up of? I tried to ask many experts and take their advice but I was not able to figure it out, so if anyone knows more about this?

Wow thank you so much…. I was so eager to know how they are made but never found out but this video has really made it simple. One more question if you could answer it as why people term Ceramic Doumbek is the first Original Drum?

Metal durbakkes have only been around for the last few decades. Before that, all durbakkes were made out of clay :)
