Will practicing with a drone help playing in tune?
« on: March 19, 2015, 03:49:58 AM »
So, let me explain, I know how to play the oud, but I'm not that good. So, I would like to learn how to play in tone and was wondering if practicing with a drone would help or if you guys know some other methods that would help me learn.

Oh, definitely YES.
Practicing with a drone is helpful in so many ways! And not just for becoming better at playing the oud, it works with any kind of instrument, just so you know ;)

Yep! I second BearHug's opinion. Keep practicing with a drone and you will get the hang of playing in tune in no time!

Thanks guys! :)

By the way, I found this great video, it's of a guy who created an electronic drone, just listen:

I don't think I'm able to play like him, but I'm gonna try!
