Oud Lovers / Syrian Oud maker; Zeryab Oud.
« on: January 13, 2016, 11:40:09 AM »
Does anybody know much about Syrian oud maker Ali Khlifa jr and his Ouds? As far as I know They are named after Zeryab Oud. I just want to inquire about the quality and sound of the Ouds. Please inform me how comparable are they to other Ouds in the
Market, like Sukar and other types of Ouds. Thank you.

Hi,
I have bought a new Egyptian Oud and now intended to replace the strings. But I'm uncertain as to which strings should go which peg.
Should the lowest string go to the peg furthest to the nut or should it go to the closest peg I have? I just want to make sure that they are not really over stressed.
I'm using regular crystal tension strings.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have intended to buy an oud myself. I need soft melodious sound. Between Arabian and Turkish oud which one do you recommend for my following criteria of sound.

Thanks in advance.

I think anyone should consider about cheap Alexandria Doumbek. Other doumbeks that are a little more expensive than the Alexandria doumbeks, but are easy to play and have beautiful tones are the Copper Doumbeks (excluding the large ones) as well as the 8 inch or 10 inch Brass doumbeks.  In addition, these drums are also a moderate size, which is another reason why they are good beginner drums.

Doumbek, Darbuka Lovers / Re: Darbuka vs Doumbek !

Some people state which doumbek percussion as well as darbuka percussion tend to be gleaming as well as sparkly, checking up on the actual style as well as elegance associated with stomach dancers. Djembes are apt to have the a lot hotter sculpt, so that as the actual dimension differs, the djembe could be a lot even louder compared to doumbek or even darbuka, too.
