Normally I hate to buy second hand, as I feel we should always look for the best piece, it might be little costly but still you canít compromise on quality for price, but after checking this I do feel interested, as provided by such a team, I am sure it will be in great conditions!

Darbuka Teachers & Lessons / Re: Where to find a good teacher?
« on: May 04, 2015, 06:29:54 AM »
Frankly speaking I have not been able to find a good teacher because they either have huge charges which I canít afford or they donít really look professional, so whatever I have learned is with help of my Father, as he is a very experience player but otherwise Itís very difficult to find a good teacher.

Thank you so much Lillyan for providing that video, as that will automatically show which is the best. I always prefer Copper but there are many of my friends which are more attracted towards Aluminum, itís just a personal choice as I donít find too big difference.

Itís nice to see youngsters been interested in learning this amazing art, itís not too many people I see want to learn it anyway I will suggest you to go with Arabic Darbuka, itís much more traditional and definitely sounds better while Turkish is not bad, but itís never my first choice.

To be honest even I have only seen man with this instruments, but I have no doubt that there are many woman who can play it as well as any man can do or even better, but there are very few and itís just due to their interest not because of small or big fingers.

I mostly prefer a Darbouka thatís hand-made, itís much better to me and itís so much more attractive. I do like aluminum since they are tough to break, so that is much better for a new comer, but we need to be careful on quality and purchase it from a reliable source like this!

Fantastic! This is certainly well deserved, itís not really needed to thank us, but thank you for providing such a fascinating video, I have shared it with all my friends and this deserves much more than 12 million views and I am sure in coming weeks/months, it is going to grow much bigger!

Doumbek, Darbuka Lovers / Re: The Perfect Set

This is indeed perfect! I really love the color and design while having such an attractive case makes it a complete package, I am really pleased with this offering, I am looking to gift my friend one of these magical stuff and this definitely looks perfect.

Actually I believe that the smaller the size is the pure the sound will come, itís not going to get better if the size is great instead it will just take away that pureness which comes only with a normal size, so I always prefer that instead of going over the broad.

In my view this is not always the case mate, it is definitely a factor, but it wonít make a massive difference, but yes you will feel easier with size been smaller and in case if itís bigger then itís tough to handle especially if you donít have experience.

I always prefer to have natural ones, as Spinny said it right they are much better, as their sound is a lot cooler, I donít really like plastic skins, as I feel very uncomfortable with that, so thatís why for me natural is definitely the best!

I am not really too experience, but still I have got few Doumbek, it is good to have copper one as thatís a lot more comfortable and been a first timer, itís definitely much better to have Copper one, so you will feel much more comfortable than in any others.

Doumbek, Darbuka Lovers / Re: Is it worth to be a darbuka player?

Been completely honest with you itís very tough to get enough to lead a comfortable life, itís obviously worth been a Darbuka player, as itís such an unique art and deserve to be promoted, but itís unfortunate that there are not much payment given on events, so even talented people donít take it all that seriously.

I completely agree with Marvin all the hard work is done for usÖ Itís so great to see so much care for clients by someone. I was so worried about quality and all that stuff but not any longer as now I just need to do right selection.
