When I was a little girl, I had a toy frame drum (it was a tambourine). It was made out of plastic and didn't even sound very well :D But as i got older I found out about the many types of frame drums. So, which one do you prefer and why? What's the difference between the ones you prefer and the other types of frame drums?

:) :P :D

I think - and this is just from my very little knowledge - that it's mainly the sound that make them different, but also the form they present in. Some frame drums have cymbals, some don't, some are bigger some are smaller... they're all different from one another if you think about it.

Oh my, the re are so many!
I think each frame drum is different from the next. Like Ron mentioned, each is different, there are also different materials used to make them, so add that to the list!
smile all the time!

Oh my.. this question is so vague! It's like asking what's the difference between all percussion instruments :)
You must be new to learning about frame drums and other arab instruments, am I right? :)

The range is so wide that you will be surprised; it is all very similar beside the sounds as that is very different from each and there are different ways they make it.I mostly prefer to have the smallest because it has pure sound, if you go with big they donít sound that great.

When it comes to drums there are so many out there and not just so many but there are all type of ones, I mean there are different drums according to the countries, I have seen Turkish ones and we can easily find Arabic, so there are many like that, but I do like to know which one is best?
